They also point out that 8 Mile isn't your typical rapper movie, packed with fight scenes, smoking dope and Snoop Dogg. Rather, it becomes an actual film that explores hard part about maturing and realizing that which you have to do to realize your dreams.

Truth find out, you can be an 8 Mile movie fan even if you aren't an Eminem fan. The two aren't mutually inclusive. Should Eminem get an Academy Award? You know they don't. But for a guy that's starring in his initial film, he did a solid job. Plus, the director- Curtis Hanson- had the sense to surround him with professionals to help you him, which certainly put into the overall film quality. I would recommend 8 mile to anyone enthusiastic about hip hop, though not necessarily Eminem.
